Job Description: 

InterOptics is a new optical metrology instrumentation company based in Tucson, AZ. We develop and manufacture value-engineered high-precision interferometric equipment for research and production. The optimization of coherence properties and optical design, together with robust mechanical engineering, enable us to provide next-generation optical interferometers with exceptionally low measurement noise.  We have an opportunity for an independent self-starter to join our team heading up sales efforts for our product line.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales plans and associated activity schedule for promoting the product line.
  • Contact customers in response to inquiries, determine needs and possible fits with InterOptics products.
  • Attend trade shows and other events, with demonstration equipment.
  • Create forecasts based on customer base feedback and market economic factors
  • Negotiate orders with customers and the factory.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Four-year degree in engineering discipline preferred, but equivalent-rated work experience may be considered.
  • Experience in Sales or Sales Support along with an understanding of capital equipment, manufacturing, and engineering processes would be a plus.
  • Training in Sales Management desirable.
  • Competency in use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Must be able to travel 50% of the time.
  • Foreign travel to Europe and Asia possible.
