Job Description: 

Arizona Optical Metrology is a rapidly growing small business that provides semi-custom products for precision measurement and we are the world’s largest producer of computer generated holograms for interferometry.  We maintain a cleanroom facility near Ruthrauff and I-10 for R&D, assembly, and interferometric measurements; a complete metrology lab with laser interferometer, optical CMM, surface profiler; and a machine shop with old-school mill, lathe, etc for making prototype parts and tooling.   

Responsibilities include maintenance and operation of clean facilities for R&D and production of optical assemblies; handling, aligning, and bonding sensitive optical components; operation of precision metrology equipment including interferometer, surface profiler, CMM;  operation of software and writing reports for data analysis; operation of standard machine tools and metrology for making simple metal parts.

Job requirements are 5 years relevant employment with extensive hands-on experience with optics; willingness and ability to learn software for instrument control and data analysis.  Experience with CAD design, advanced machining skills, experience cutting, grinding and polishing glass, and computer programming abilities are also highly desired.
