Redmond, WA Job Description:
Facebook Reality Labs is looking for an experienced and highly self-motivated Optics and Metrology Engineer to develop new technologies for next generation near to eye display and imaging systems at our research center in Redmond, WA. This is a short-term contract position for 12 months, could extend to 18 months and beyond, depending on the outcome and project needs. We prefer someone who can start right away.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with research staffs to conduct characterization of advanced optical components in a cleanroom environment.
- Document characterization process and analysis results in details.
- Follow all safety protocols, especially chemical safety and laser safety.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or similar.
- 100+ hours of hands on experience on optical setup or optical metrology, related to one or more of the following: refractometer, spectrometer, colorimeter, scatterometer, radiometer, colorimeter, etc.
- Effective communication & documentation skills.
