*This internship will be payrolled via payroll processing provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete a project of an optical sub-system design of a lab test setup for concept feasibility study.
  • Conduct a theoretical analysis of system performance by using MATLAB or similar analytical tools.
  • Hold a design review meeting of his/her project with engineers.
  • Conduct data acquisition of the test setup.
  • Perform data analysis and submit a test reports.
  • Assist optical engineers on optical component alignment of various projects.
  • Assist system engineers to conduct data acquisition in the lab for various projects.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing BS or MS degree in Physics or Engineering
  • Knowledge/training of Physics, especially optics theories.
  • Knowledge/training of Mathematics theories for modeling, algorithm and analysis.
  • Learn and practice optical ray-trace design using Zemax.
  • Hand-on lab experience of building test setup to valid design concept.
  • Data analysis techniques using MATLAB.
  • Good interpersonal skills to be a team player.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
