This internship is Full Time (40 hours/week) and will ideally start in May 2022 and last for the duration of 3  months.
What you’ll learn and do:
The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to improve our library offerings by:

  • performing scattering measurements,
  • correlating measurements with simulation,
  • writing software tools to help automate common library tasks, and
  • confirming the data in the library matches the most recent measurements

You will learn:

  • everything you wanted to know about optical scattering, but were afraid to ask
  • methods to quantify optical scatter using a commercial scatterometer
  • basic usage of the LightTools illumination design and analysis software
  • how to control data and measurements in a document control system

Skill Requirements:
The applicant must:

  • have a working knowledge of basic optical sciences (e.g., reflection, refraction, specular, diffuse, etc.)
  • be able to work on multiple concurrent projects and ability to work well in a team as well as independently 
  • have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate highly technical information to others in the company
  • have excellent references
  • be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a ravenous desire to learn new concepts and immediately apply them in practice

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

  • C# programming with Windows Forms

Education Qualifications:
All interns must be currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution.  Pursuing BA/BS
