    Held in conjunction with The University of Arizona’s Homecoming Festivities., an alumnus from each of the University’s degree-granting colleges is selected for this honor. The recipient for the 2018 College of Optical Sciences Alumnus of the Year is James W. Mayo III, M.S 1968. Jim was the first student to receive a degree from what was once known as the Optical Sciences Center.
