Adjunct Profs Win SPIE Awards

    Two of the college's adjunct faculty members just received serious recognition from SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics: Keith B. Doyle was given the SPIE Technology Achievement Award for his "outstanding contributions to integrated analysis of optical systems, incorporating in this analysis elements of optical, thermal and structural engineering," and Virendra Mahajan, who also teaches the OSC short course on DVD "Exploring Optical Aberrations," was given the SPIE Educator Award for "sharing of knowledge in the area of optical imaging, aberrations and wavefront analysis through his voluntary teaching of students and professionals and the writing of five excellent books."
