Charlie Falco Takes Us to the Movies

    As part of the college's 50th anniversary celebration, Charles M. Falco, Chair of Condensed Matter Physics and professor of optical sciences and physics, is hosting a showing of the documentary "Tim's Vermeer" at the Loft CinemaFalco, in collaboration with noted British artist David Hockney, first formulated the controversial thesis explored by inventor and entrepreneur Tim Jamison in the film. The theory posit that photorealistic paintings, created by master artists as long ago as AD 1430, were only possible with the assistance of optical projections.
