Janet Fender Receives U.S. Presidential Distinguished Rank Award

    College of Optical Sciences alumna, Dr. Janet S. Fender, currently Chief Scientist and Science Advisor to the Commander of USAF Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, VA, received the U.S. Presidential Distinguished Rank Award in recognition of her long-term accomplishments and exceptional service to the American people. Bestowed upon only the top 1% of federal senior executives, this award represents the pinnacle of achievement in the career federal executive service.  Her award was presented by the Honorable Deborah Lee James, Secretary of the Air Force.

    College of Optical Sciences Alumna Janet Fender Receives the US Presidential Rank Award
