Johnson & Johnson Innovation Labs is hosting "Quickfire Challenges" for undergraduate and graduate students from UArizona to compete for prizes of up to $100,000 in grant funding. The program is especially well-suited for students from different backgrounds who want the experience of working in a multidisciplinary team toward the goal of healthcare innovation and commercialization. Discover more QuickFire Challenges here.

Teams will be selected from interested applicants and mentored by experts in venture development, technology transfer, engineering design, and healthcare entrepreneurship. Students will receive training in customer-centered product design, intellectual property strategy, healthcare product regulation, financial modeling, and business plan development. Mentors will help teams prepare their online submission to meet the January 29, 2021 deadline.

Due to the short timeline, only highly interested students, willing and able to commit to weekly meetings with the mentorship group and multiple weekly meetings with their teammates should apply. To be considered for a team, or if you have questions, please contact Mark Van Dyke (
