Seeing Art in a Whole New Light
Date Posted:
Thursday, March 26, 2015 If you're on campus in next week, take a trip to the UA Museum of Art to see Mark Rothko's famous "Green on Blue (Earth-Green and White)," the subject of a special experiment run by senior Ali Khan for OPTI 485/585: Illumination Engineering.
He and exhibition specialist Nathan Saxton (who has applied to join the OSC undergrad program himself!) have designed a changeable lighting system for the painting that allows viewers to adjust the light's temperature – and then vote on the version they like best.
Check out a video on Facebook, and cast your vote in person next Monday through Thursday between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.
