TLA is working to collect 300 inventions (total for FY2021) by June 30 of this year. Inventors from the Wyant College had 43 successful inventions in 2020. Can OSC inventors surpass that in 2021? A great way to get started is by attending the TLA "Ask me Anything" hour, where you can drop in and ask questions about inventorship and this ambitious goal.

Please take a moment to connect with our dedicated licensing manager for the Wyant College of Optical Sciences, Ken Nyairo. There’s no commitment whatsoever, and your conversation will be confidential. Then follow this link and submit your name, and TLA will reach back out to you and do the rest.

When you disclose an invention, commercialization can lead to many benefits, including:

    • Increased funding for labs, departments and our college
    • Qualification for industry and federal grants, such as SBIR funds
    • Making research more attractive for future funding
    • Personal income (inventors share a large portion of any royalties related to commercialization.)
