6.5-Meter Mirror Arrives at OSC

A massive 6.5-meter mirror was moved to the College of Optical Science's Optical Engineering and Fabrication Facility early on Sept. 8, 2016. The 6.5-meter diameter mirror is the largest in OSC history, and required two cranes to rotate the 33-ton mirror (including supporting structure) to a 60-degree angle in order to be lowered into the facility.
