The James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences cordially invites students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the college to join us on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom for the 2024 Spring Convocation Ceremony. A light reception will immediately follow the program. Guests are allowed and there is no limit on number of guests per graduating student. Tickets are not required to attend. Full details here.

Liam Frank is a physics PhD student in the College of Science, specializing in research housed in the Wyant College of Optical Sciences with Prof. Jason Jones' lab. However, Liam's talent extends beyond the lab and into the pool as a UArizona club athlete on the Club Water Polo team. For April Liam was named the Student Athlete of the Month! April 8, 2024 was the date for the Great American Eclipse, and not only were people from all over the country chasing clear skies, but a number from OSC were also seeking the chance to see it both in totality and as a partial eclipse. If you also traveled to experience the total solar eclipse you can email Amee Hennig to have your name added to the list above! Be sure to send any photos you may have captured of either the partial or total solar eclipse!
