UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT ESTABLISHED BY EDMUND OPTICS, INC.
The University of Arizona Wyant College of Optical Sciences is pleased to announce the Marisa A. Edmund Advancing Women in Optics Scholarship, established by Edmund Optics, Inc. This permanent scholarship endowment is for full-time undergraduate students and designed to promote diversity in the field of optics and is named for Marisa A. Edmund, Chief Global Marketing & Sales Officer at Edmund Optics, Inc. Read more about the scholarship.

Reflections is a series of biographies featuring OSC Emeritus faculty, written by Tammy Orr. Today, we highlight John E. Greivenkamp, who passed away on January 29, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Wyant College in Meinel 307 on April 29th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
JACK D. GASKILL MEMORIAL SERVICE | MAY 3
A Celebration of Life for Jack D. Gaskill will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. The event will be held in Meinel 307, followed by light refreshments. ZHESHEN ZHANG & QUNTAO ZHUANG RECEIVE 2022 NSF CAREER AWARDS
Zheshen Zhang and Quntao Zhuang, Wyant College Assistant Professors and College of Engineering Assistant Professors, have received the prestigious NSF CAREER award. Zhang and Zhuang are participating in the Arizona Center for Quantum Networks, and their research is directly related to finding ways to harness quantum powers. NICK SISCHKA, ALUMNUS PROMOTED TO DIRECTOR
OF IMAGING PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AT EDMUND OPTICS. INC.
Nick Sischka graduated from the Wyant College in 2011 with a B.S. in Optics and went on to join the engineering Leadership Program at Edmund Optics shortly after. Since then, Nick has created a successful career at Edmund Optics, Inc. and was recently promoted to the company's Director of Imaging Product Development. Congratulations, Nick!
