    Professor Robert A. Norwood has been awarded $3.7 million dollars in two separate Department of Energy Advance Research Programs Agency (ARPA-E) programs to make significant advances in Photovoltaic and Concentrated Solar technologies. For full details, see the official press release.

    OSC alumnus Robert Breault Highlighted in AZPM Arizona & the Vietnam War

    Robert P. Breault, founder of Breault Research Organization, OSC alumnus (Ph.D., 1979) and staunch supporter of the College of Optical Sciences, will be highlighted in an upcoming PBS documentary premiering on KUAT PBS 6 on Sunday, Sept., 17 at 7 p.m. Arizona & the Vietnam War recounts the impact of the era and its defining war on a generation of Southern Arizonans.
