    In Memoriam: Robert Novak

News has come that optics community member Robert F. Novak passed away on Dec. 6. A 1970 graduate of UA's liberal arts college, Novak served as chair of the Monroe Community College Optical Technology Department and worked for nearly four decades to build and grow their well-regarded program. He was also an active member of SPIE, teaching short courses on optical fabrication and manufacturing.

Both MCC and SPIE have prepared remembrances.
