$20M Gift to UA College of Optical Sciences is Largest Ever for Faculty Endowed Chairs
TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences announced Friday that it has received a $20 million pledge to support 10 new endowed faculty positions. The gift comes from the college's founding dean, Professor Emeritus James C. Wyant, Ph.D., and his family. It is the largest gift for endowed faculty chair positions in the university's history.

2019 Michael Kidger Memorial Scholarship in Optical Design Now Available
The application for the 2019 Michael Kidger Memorial Scholarship in Optical Design is now available. The scholarship is awarded to a student engaged in optical design of either imaging or non-imaging system. The application submission deadline is March 31, 2019. Welcome, Jessie
Jessie is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona achieving her MS in Management/Marketing, and BS in Psychology. As Administrative Associate with OSC, Jessie will participate in the rotation of the Colloquium Lecture Series, coordinate special events/workshops, cross-train with the Admin Team and provide administrative assistance to academic faculty and their research teams supporting activity in academia, research, and service.
