L'Oréal USA for Women in Science Fellowship
Applications for the 2017 L’Oréal USA for Women in Science fellowship program are now being accepted, and are due on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. The L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program recognizes and rewards the contributions women make in STEM fields and identifies exceptional women researchers committed to serving as role models for younger generations.
Winter Commencement
The College of Optical Sciences' Winter Commencement is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16, followed by a reception in the Meinel 3rd floor lobby. Graduates, alumni, parents and friends of the college are invited to RSVP no later than Dec. 14. For full information, including RSVP, please see the OSC calendar event.

Alumni Dispatches
OSC Alumnus d'Aubigny and OSIRIX-REx
Christian d'Aubigny (Ph.D. 2003), OSC alumnus and deputy instrument scientist for the OSIRIS-REx camera (OCAMS) team, is quoted in a Dec. 2016 Phys.org article, describing the three cameras used on the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft.
