eWeek Starts Today!
National Engineering Week at the University of Arizona commences this afternoon at 4 p.m. with an opening ceremony organized by the Engineering Student Council and held in the Engineering Courtyard.
UA eWeek offers a lot of excitement, including a bridge-building competition, Engineering Jeopardy and a Mr. and Ms. Engineering Pageant(!). Be sure to check out the action.
Scholarships for Students of Renewable Energy
The UA Carson Scholars Program is accepting applications through Tuesday, Feb. 17, for its 2014-2015 awards. Dedicated to the vision of conservationist and author Rachel Carson, the Carson Scholarships support University of Arizona doctoral students who research renewable energy and want to communicate science to a general audience.
KLA-Tencor to Host Info Session
KLA-Tencor Corp., a Leadership Partner in the college's Industrial Affiliates program, will hold an information session on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Meinel 307. Food will be served from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
TLA First Friday Pitch Day
Tech Launch Arizona wants to see enthusiastic student innovators at First Friday Pitch Day, which starts in March and will be held on the first Friday — naturally — of each month, on the fourth floor of the University Services Annex Building.
