    OPTIMAX OFFERING $10K RESEARCH GRANT

    Optimax, an Industrial Affiliates Leadership Partner, is offering a $10,000 Optimax Grant for Research for our services to manufacture custom optical components. Optimax is requesting proposals by April 16, 2021. The submissions will be considered and the grant winner announced the week of May 3, 2021. Proposals should be submitted to: Kennedy Nyairo, Senior Licensing Manager, Wyant College of Optical Sciences: KennedyN@tla.arizona.edu.

      NSF CAREER GRANT PREPARATION PROGRAM KICK-OFF

      On Wednesday, March 10 at 4 p.m. Research Development Services is hosting a virtual interactive informational session for faculty interested in developing proposals for the NSF CAREER program. Register here.

        DEPARTMENTAL SCHOLARSHIPS DEADLINE APPROACHES

        OSC’s 2021-2022 academic year departmental scholarships are now available for application. The application deadline for all OSC scholarships is March 8, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. These scholarships are provided by OSC donors and are only for OSC students. The application process will take place online via Scholarship Universe, UArizona’s official scholarship management system.

            MURI GRANT AWARDED TO QUANTUM NETWORK SCIENCE TEAM

            CONGRATULATIONS, KHALID OMER

            Congratulations to Khalid Omer, OSC Ph.D. student, for his achievement of receiving the 2021 Marshall Foundation Dissertation Fellowship Award. The fellowship was awarded for Khalid's project “Deep Learning for Polarization Imaging." Khalid's advisor is Meredith Kupinski in the Polarization Lab.

            Congratulations to OSC's 2020 Staff Recognition Award winners! Peer-to-Peer Award recipients will receive $250 and SPOT Recipients will receive $50.
