Alumni and Industry Partners Reception in San Francisco in February
The College of Optical Sciences will kick off its yearlong 50th anniversary festivities with an alumni and industry partners reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 4 at the San Francisco Marquis Marriott, concurrent with the SPIE Photonics West conference. A special program begins at 6:45 p.m. with announcements from UA President Ann Weaver Hart and OSC Dean Thomas L. Koch.

Public Lecture to Commemorate 50th Anniversary
Our semicentennial celebration continues on Feb. 12 with a public lecture by the venerable Michael V. Berry, professorial research fellow and Melville Wills Professor of Physics emeritus at the University of Bristol (United Kingdom).
