Graduate Student Video Resources
Are you a new or returning OSC graduate student? The Academic Programs office has put together a series of helpful videos that answer common questions asked by graduate students. Topics include introducing the academic programs staff, funding, UAccess, GradPath and more. Additional videos will be added as needed in the coming months. Faculty Distinctions
Meystre Appointed APS Editor-In-Chief
Regents' Professor of Optical Sciences Pierre Meystre was recently appointed to be Editor-in-Chief for the American Physical Society after an exhaustive search. Pierre has served as Lead Editor of the journal Physical Review Letters since 2013, and will now take over full responsibilities in August.
Blanche Publishes Book on Photorefractive Organic Compounds
Associate Research Professor of Optical Sciences Pierre-Alexandre Blanche announces his latest publication, Photorefractive Organic Materials and Applications. Published by Springer International Publishing, the book provides comprehensive, state-of-the art coverage of photorefractive organic compounds, a class of material with the ability to change their index of refraction upon illumination.
