Seats Remain in Free Optics Software Tutorial
Breault Research Organization has a few open seats left in its April 8-11 Introduction to APEX software tutorial, and it is offering them to the OSC community without requiring any registration fees. If you're interested in taking this free short course, please contact tutorials@breault.com at your earliest opportunity.
UA Campaign Kick-off
The University of Arizona launches a record-breaking fundraising campaign next month, and OSC will help illustrate why the University is worth investment during an April 11 campaign kick-off celebration.
Quick Note Regarding Room Switch in Academic Programs
Melissa Sarmiento Ayala, the college's undergraduate academic and career adviser, and Anabel Moreno, the graduate student funding coordinator, have taken the opportunity of spring break to swap spaces. You can now find Melissa tucked into Meinel 403D in the Academic Programs suite, while Anabel is located down the hall in Meinel 412.
Pennies and Pie: Faculty, Staff and Students Face Off for Food Bank
OSC is giving more than just food* to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona during this year's UA4Food drive. The First Semi-Official College of Optical Sciences Penny and Pie War started last week and continues through Wednesday, April 23.

Tyo Receives SPIE G.G. Stokes Award
Professor of optical sciences and electrical and computer engineering and chair of the Faculty Academic Steering Committee J. Scott Tyo has been named the 2014 winner of SPIE's G.G. Stokes Award, given annually for exceptional achievements in optical polarization.
