Please Welcome Infrared Laboratories to the Industrial Affiliates Program
The UA College of Optical Sciences is quite pleased to announce the addition of Infrared Laboratories as an Associate Partner in the Industrial Affiliates program.
Infrared Laboratories Inc. was founded in 1967 by Frank Low, one of the "fathers of infrared astronomy," and boasts a long history of astronomical research. They currently develop infrared, low-light-level imaging detection instrumentation and cryogenics, delivering their products to more than 350 customers in 34 countries.
Penny and Pie War: Everyone's a Winner!
Congratulations to each and everyone who participated in the First Semi-Official College of Optical Sciences Penny and Pie War — including and especially Associate Dean for Academic Programs R. John Koshel, who bore his whipped-cream-laden fate as representative for the losing staff team with great dignity and good humor. All told, OSC raised over $350 for the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
Photographs of pies, pugs, piñatas and more are now available online.
