Announcements
Oschmann, M.S. 1983, Selected as Alumnus of the Year
The College of Optical Sciences has announced Jacobus (Jim) Oschmann as its 2014 Alumnus of the Year Award winner. Oschmann earned an M.S. degree from OSC in 1983 and an MBA from UA's Eller College of Management in 2003 and currently serves as vice president and general manager of civil space and technology at Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp.
Oschmann is being honored for significant contributions to optical design and technology development. He delivered the college's Nov. 6 Colloquium lecture and will be recognized alongside other notable UA alumni in a Nov. 7 ceremony during UA's 100th Homecoming celebration.

The College of Optical Sciences warmly welcomes Optikos, the world's largest manufacturer of equipment for the measurement of optical image quality, as an associate partner in its Industrial Affiliates program.
Headquartered in Wakefield, Massachusetts, Optikos has been an acknowledged leader in the field for more than 30 years.
Edmund Optics to Give Info Session
Industrial Affiliates program member Edmund Optics is providing students an opportunity, complete with complimentary food and drinks, to learn more about career options in their world-leading company. Stop by Meinel 307 at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17.
