Haunted Homecoming Festivities
OSC celebrates its ghoulish side with a costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, door decoration contest and plenty of sweet treats this Friday, Oct. 28 as part of UA's Haunted Homecoming.
Call for Nominations: Graduate Teaching and Mentoring Awards
The Graduate College has issued a call for nominations of awards to acknowledge faculty and professionals who excel in their teaching and mentoring of graduate and professional students.
Benefits Open Enrollment
Benefits open enrollment is now available through Friday, Nov. 14 to all eligible employees. During this time, benefits-eligible employees may enroll in, cancel or change their medical, vision, supplemental life, short-term disability and flexible spending accounts.

Burge Named Emeritus, Announces Retirement
After 26 years at the University of Arizona, Jim H. Burge has been promoted to Professor Emeritus of Optical Sciences and will be retiring after the fall semester.

After a brief hiatus, we're happy to bring back our student spotlight series, Another Wavelength. This month, we meet Maryam Tanbal, a first-year graduate student in the Optical Sciences M.S. program, and one of the recipients of a NSF Bridge to the Doctorate Program fellowship.
