Announcements
Etendue: Ralph M. Richard
Welcome to Etendue, featuring interesting and accomplished individuals known for their leadership and contributions both with their careers and the College of Optical Sciences, in their own words. (For a similar view on the college’s best and brightest – our students – please check out Another Wavelength among our Students in the Spotlight.)
This month, we hear from Ralph M. Richard, Ph.D., Research Professor Emeritus of Optical Sciences.
Mirror Arrival a Massive Undertaking
Historically, OSC’s Optical Engineering and Fabrication Facility's mirror processing capability was thought to be limited to mirrors approximately four meters in diameter due to the physical limitations of the access hatch into the shop and the capacity of the resident capital infrastructure.
Wyant Seeking Authors
Founding Dean and Professor Emeritus James C. Wyant is editing a book series for CRC Press on Optical Sciences and Applications of Light, and he is looking for new authors. If you are interested in writing a book for the series, please contact Jim at jcwyant@optics.arizona.edu or 520-906-0983.
