Grad Students: Fellowship Opportunity
The Hertz Foundation is providing graduate fellowships for those innovating in the applied physical and biological sciences, mathematics and engineering. The fellowships are open to American citizens or permanent residents applying to or enrolled in Ph.D. programs. Application deadine for the 2017-18 academic year is Oct. 28.
Art of Planetary Science Call for Entries
The annual Art of Planetary Science, run by the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, will be taking place Feb. 10-12, 2017.
Optics Demos at IONS Tucson
The OSC Student Optics Chapter (SOCk) is proud to host the 2016 IONS Conference, and will be presenting optics demonstrations on Monday, Oct. 3 from 10-11 a.m. in the UA Student Union Ballroom.

Roll Up Your Sleeves for Flu Season
Don't let the flu get the best of you this season! All UA employees, retirees, spouses and dependents (who are benefit options members enrolled in the medical insurance plan) age four and older, and state employees eligible for full benefits may receive a free flu shot. Please download and complete the consent form, and bring it with you to the Meinel 3rd floor patio on Friday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon.
