Join us for a Prism Week focused on "Optics Around the World." Each day of the week will include virtual presentations from SPIE and Optica Chapters around the world, totaling 25 chapters! Additional events include: technical talks with female faculty, an Industry vs. Academia panel, Town Hall with our deans, an Imposter Syndrome workshop, Destress Yoga, an ice cream kick-off picnic, and a social hour at Gentle Ben’s with the Women in Physics club!!
Sponsored by WiO and SPIE, Prism Week is back this year from the 25th-29th! The goal of this event is to promote diversity and inclusion in our college, we will be holding meet and greets with OPTICA/SPIE chapters from around the world, panels, and social events for you to enjoy, relax, and learn something new.
The following events will all have free food and SPIE goodies for you to grab!
- Every day we will meet with Chapters from Canada, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Colombia, India, Japan, Australia, Colombia, South Africa, and Mexico to network and learn about each other's research. (25th-29th)

- Prism Week Kickoff Picnic | Ice Cream Social (25th)
- Industry vs. Academia Panel with Dr. Hong Hua, Dr. Travis Sawyer, and two industry folks from Edmund Optics so come with questions! (26th)
- Town Hall with Our Deans from our college! Ask anonymous questions to the deans about anything that you are concerned about in our college here! (27th)
- Imposter Syndrome Workshop (28th)
- Destress Yoga with Women in Physics (29th) - Yoga matts provided but feel free to bring your own.
