Joshua Gordon

Dr. Joshua Gordon Named AMTA Edmond S. Gillespie Fellow

Oct. 31, 2023

Dr. Joshua Gordon (Wyant College of Optical Sciences PhD, 2008) was named an AMTA (Antenna​ ​Measurement​ ​Techniques Association) Edmond S. Gillespie Fellow and received a plaque recognizing the honor at the AMTA annual conference that recently took place in Seattle. Today, Dr. Gordon is a physicist in the RF Technology Division at NIST, and his research areas focus on investigating new technologies and approaches for robotics, spatial metrology, antenna metrology, RF electric-field, and power metrology.

Paramium Technologies Selected for "Innovation Leader of the Year" by AZTC

Oct. 30, 2023

The Arizona Technology Council (AZTC) presented the 11th Annual Southern Arizona Tech + Business Expo on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Among the awards presented included "Innovation Leader of the Year" award presented to Paramium Technologies. The award recognizes the work of Justin Hyatt (Wyant College of Optical Sciences PhD, 2019) and co-founder Christian Davila to create the startup and pursue innovative technologies.

I will present the recent advancements we have achieved in MIP technology, including improvements in spectral coverage, imaging speed, and integration with other imaging modalities. Additionally, I will discuss how the MIP platform has played a pivotal role in addressing a diverse array of biomedical questions, ranging from microbiology to stem cell and neurodegeneration.

2023 Fall Industrial Affiliates Showcase and Meeting

The Wyant College Industrial Affiliates Showcase and Meeting took place Oct. 23 - 25 in Tucson, AZ. The event kicked off with a packed poster session and corporate showcase in the Student Union. The second day was filled with student and faculty presentations that outlined current Wyant College research. On the final day student interviews took place as well as lab tours and a pizza party.
