Congratulations to Wyant College alumnus, Justin Hyatt (PhD, 2019) and co-founders Roslyn Norman and Christian Davila on securing an additional $1M SBIR grant from the National Science Foundation to build a full-scale commercial production line for their startup Paramium Technologies. 

Wyant College is pleased to welcome Associate Research Professor Ni Chen. Ni completed her Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering in 2014 at Seoul National University. Ni's research explores the interaction between light waves and objects, seeking general tools in computations that enable us to solve fundamental issues in existing 3D/4D optical imaging techniques.

This week in Another Wavelength, we chat with BS student, YiYun Wu. She is pursuing a degree in optical engineering with minors in electrical engineering, music, and math. YiYun is working with Dr. Justin Hyatt for her senior design project. Additionally, she is doing research in Dr. Linran Fan's lab.

Wyant College is happy to welcome Joe Chamberlain as the new Cleanroom Engineer, working with Roland Himmelhuber. Joe did his B.S. in applied physics at UArizona, after which he began to pursue a career focusing on material optics.

Prof. Saikat Guha teamed up with colleagues in 2014 to organize an annual workshop called Scalable Information Processing with Quantum Nanophotonics, dubbed SIPQNP (pronounced “sip-Q-nip”).
