Laser Fun Day 2025 was a tremendous success!

With over 300 attendees, this year's event brought together children, families, and science enthusiasts for a day filled with hands-on learning and excitement. Hosted at the University of Arizona's College of Optical Sciences, Laser Fun Day continues to grow as a signature outreach event that showcases the wonder of optics and photonics in a fun, engaging environment.

From navigating a thrilling Laser Maze and observing light reflect through flowing water to participating in a real cow eye dissection, attendees experienced optics in action, many for the first time. Activities were designed to spark curiosity, promote STEM education, and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
We’re incredibly proud of this year’s turnout and the impact it had on our community. The Student Optics Chapter (SOCk) is honored to organize this event and is already looking forward to hosting it again next year. We hope to see you there!
