Engineering Internship Program

•    Analyze and tolerance visible and infrared lens systems
•    Develop mechanical CAD templates and drawings for use with optical elements and mechanical components.
•    Interface with manufacturing units to develop in-house tolerance guidelines for traditionally polished optics, diamond turning, precision molded plastics, precision molded glass lenses, and assembly
•    Create a process for establishing a structured bill of materials for optical and mechanical components that can be used during quoting efforts.
•    Assist the prototype group with testing and/or assembly of optical elements and systems
•    Present findings to groups of engineers, sales, and customers on a regular basis
•    Build your network of Engineering, Optics and Photonics industry professionals

Requirements

Candidate must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university with major study in optics, engineering, physical science, mathematics, computer science, or other field of science. Preferred majors are optics, optical engineering, imaging science, mechanical engineering, and physics/materials science.
