    Join Us for the UA Dedication - James C. Wyant College of Optical Science

    Please join us on Tuesday, April 23, for the University of Arizona’s dedication of the James C. Wyant College of Optical Sciences at 3:30 p.m. Presentations will be made in the “White Tent” on UA Mall located outside of the North Entrance, Meinel Building. A special unveiling and Reception will follow the program in the 3rd Floor Lobby, Meinel Building.

    Laser Fun Day this Weekend

    The University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences will hold its ninth annual Laser Fun Day as The Student Optics Chapter (SOCk), its undergraduate and graduate student organization, brings the science of optics alive for area elementary- and middle-school children. The educational extravaganza takes place on Saturday, April 20th, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Meinel Building, at 1630 East University Boulevard on the University of Arizona campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

    Two OSC Students Receive NSF GRFP

    Congratulations go to Adriana Mitchell and Maggie Kautz on receiving NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program awards. The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions.
