MARSHALL FOUNDATION DISSERTATION FELLOWSHIP OPEN FOR PH.D. APPLICANTS
The annual Marshall Foundation Dissertation Fellowship and the Dr. Maria Teresa Velez – Marshall Foundation Dissertation Scholarship competition is now available for application. These awards are intended for graduate students who are in the completion stage of their dissertation and who have exhausted all other funding resources except for federal aid. ROLF BINDER COMPOSES MUSIC PLAYED BY AZPM
Wyant College of Optical Sciences Professor Rolf Binder has composed three piano etudes that were selected to be played on the Arizona Public Media live radio station. HONG HUA FEATURED IN VIDEO BY AZPM
Arizona Public Media recently shared a new Arizona Illustrated video featuring Wyant College Professor Hong Hua. The description begins, "For decades, Hong Hua has been a pioneer in the development of advanced 3-D display systems for virtual reality and augmented reality technologies." In the video Hong Hua's incredible research is showcased along with her inspirational drive for supporting students' educations. Watch the video here.

FIRST VIRTUAL SUMMER ENGINEERING ACADEMY IS SUCCESS
On Friday July 9th Dr. Mike Nofziger and Hillary Mathis welcomed 47 high school students, from 15 different states across the USA, into a virtual Zoom classroom for the Wyant College of Optical Sciences’ 6th year of participation with the University of Arizona College of Engineering’s Summer Engineering Academy (SEA).
CAMP SAHUARITA OUTREACH
Professor Michael Nofziger and OSC student, Zach Schawelson, taught Camp Sahuarita participants about light and optics in June.
