    OPTICA'S ADVANCED PHOTONICS CONGRESS ACCEPTING PAPER SUBMISSIONS IN JANUARY 2022

    Optica's 2022 Integrated Photonics Research (IPR) Conference which is part of the Advanced Photonics Congress will be held July 24 - 28, 2022, in Maastricht, Netherlands. IPR is known as the premier and longest-running meeting dedicated to groundbreaking advances in research and development of integrated photonic and nano-photonic technologies on all relevant material platforms. Among the Program Chairs is Wyant College's Dr. Judith Su. Wyant College students and faculty are encouraged to submit their work. Learn more about the meeting. Sign up for meeting updates. The website will be open for paper submissions the first week of January. 

    JOIN US, SPIE PHOTONICS WEST: OSC ALUMNI AND INDUSTRIAL AFFILIATES RECEPTION

    OSC Alumni and Industrial Affiliates members are invited to register to attend the Wyant College of Optical Sciences’ Alumni and Industrial Affiliates Reception held in conjunction with SPIE Photonics West - San Francisco. The event is Tuesday, January 25 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the W San Francisco Hotel.

    SUPERLATIVE STAFF: 2021 YEAR-END CELEBRATION

    On December 9th outside of the Meinel building, the final staff recognition awards were presented after a fantastic meal during the OSC Staff Recognition and Holiday Luncheon. Awards presented included the 4th Quarter Peer-to-Peer award to Hillary Mathis. The Employee of the Year award was presented to Dan Caywood. And Honorable Mention was presented to Ameé Hennig.

    The Wyant College is happy to welcome Emily Davis as the college's newest Administrative Associate, supporting a number of OSC's faculty.

    STAFF RECOGNITION & HOLIDAY LUNCHEON REVIEW IN PHOTOS

    December 9th students, staff and faculty gathered outside the Meinel building to enjoy a delicious meal; listen to music; announce the staff employee of the year, honorable mention and 4th quarter peer-to-peer awards. Music was graciously provided by student, staff and faculty volunteers including the on-campus group Catcall A Capella; YiYun Wu (violin); Bob Norwood (guitar & vocals); and the Phonons (name-pending), a new optics student musical group.
