Title
Multi-Domain Imaging, Display, and Communication Systems
Abstract
In what domains can or do signals exist and in what domains can we engineer systems to detect or deliver those signals? Optical systems that leverage multi-domain sampling and projection strategies can outperform their traditional counterparts. Computational imaging, display, and free-space optical communication systems all share similar design and engineering challenges, typically related to the scale, fidelity and efficiency with which information can be exchanged. In this dissertation I will present a variety of such systems that take advantage of multi-domain methods for improving system performance.
