The office of accounting and financial reporting is responsible for tracking all OSC expenditures, reconciling OSC records with central accounting systems at the University and projecting expenditures by contract. Principal investigators receive monthly status reports on contract balances and projections.
Accounting personnel also meet with faculty and staff members to communicate new requirements and ensure that University policies are being followed. Principal investigators should review accounting policies and current reports with their accounting representative.
The office also monitors access to OSC offices and labs, oversees the mailroom and handles photocopy accounts.
The director of finance and operations oversees the activities of the College of Optical Sciences accounting staff.
